are identical with international specification standards. Since May 1979,
Bakrie pipes in Rumbai, Indonesia for instance, and the oil pipelines in
Texas has been sharing the same quality standard to bear the API
Spec 5L monogram as recognition from
American Petroleum Institut in Houston, Texas. Other specification
standards have also been awarded to Bakrie products such as for BS
1387, ASTM A252/ASTM
A53 and JIS
3444.
To Anticipate
the globalization era, in November 1992, the American Bureau of Shipping
in Houston, Texas, also awarded the ISO
9002 Certificate for the quality system
of Bakrie Pipe Industries.
